University of Zurich, Visual Cognition Research Group

The Visual Cognition Research Group (VICOREG) was established in 1999. The following research areas are of particular interest to the group:

• Aviation security human factors
• Cognitive and computational modelling
• Human-machine interaction
• Perception and recognition of faces and objects.

The interdisciplinary effort and success of the group is documented in various publications, funded research projects, international collaborations and software tools that are used at several hundred airports in Europe, Canada, and the USA
